The Actuarial reporting team at Aviva are seeking a Part qualified Actuary or equivalent to join our reporting team. Ideally you'll some relevant experience of reserving or capital management. We will consider you if you're a graduate with relevant intra placement experience, and also if you're an applicant with one to two years’ experience and looking for a change.

The Aviva Life Actuarial Reporting team is responsible for the production of the IFRS results for Aviva Life and Pensions and the communication of these results to key stakeholders. The position is for a trainee actuary on the Actuarial Reporting team on a permanent contract. With our wide product range, we offer potential candidates a broad range of experience reporting actuarial requirements of Irish GAAP, IFRS reporting and Liability Adequacy Testing.

Duties & Key Responsibilities:

· 
Calculating and reporting of IFRS results including reserves, DAC asset and profit driver analysis

· 
Production of actuarial items for the Liability Adequacy Testing of reserves on an IFRS basis.

· 
Support the development and BAU implementation of IFRS17

· 
Assist Prophet model development / testing in line with business requirements, liaising closely with the Prophet Development, Pricing and IT teams.

· 
Adherence to policy and procedures including controls complying with Aviva’s standards

· 
Quarterly data integrity checking

· 
Liaising closely with internal and external partners such as Finance Business Partners, Finance Reporting & Control, Product & Pricing, External Audit and Group as required

· 
Involvement in projects, both reporting related and Aviva wide, as the opportunities arise

Qualifications:

· 
Part qualified Actuary or equivalent, ideally some relevant experience of reserving or capital management. We will consider graduates with relevant intra placement experience, and candidates with one to two years’ experience currently seeking a change.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience required:

· 
Experience of actuarial reporting under at least one the IFRS, SII and EV reporting standards is desirable.

· 
Good knowledge and understanding of actuarial principles and methodology

· 
Highly numerate and analytical  

· 
High degree of computer literacy

· 
Delivery focused with a flexible attitude and approach, can-do mentality and enthusiasm

· 
Demonstrated ability to prioritise and progress multiple deliverables

· 
Confident communicator, with strong written and oral communication skills

· 
Knowledge of life and pensions products, in particular the structures of unit linked, with profit, term insurance and annuity products

· 
An understanding of the needs of our end customers.
