Property & Liability Assistant Underwriter – Salary £21,700 to £35,100

Aviva is currently seeking a Commercial Trading Underwriter to join our underwriting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a growing team, the role will be based in our Perth office and you will benefit from Aviva’s smart working arrangements, with a mix of home and office working.

As an Underwriter or Assistant Underwriter (depending on experience), you’ll provide an outstanding service to our customers and brokers. You’ll drive new business and professional relationships, directly contributing to the underwriting profit and loss, trading, and service delivery goals.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

· 
Strong communication and negotiation skills; with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

· 
Strong organisation and prioritisation skills and ability to manage own workload and work to deadlines

· 
Demonstrate desire to build knowledge and gain experience in the insurance industry

· 
Ability to follow processes and procedures and work within set Underwriting Licence frameworks.

· 
Successful candidates will be supported in studying for relevant CII qualifications.

Salary £21,700 to £35,100 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
