We are seeking a number of Solution Architects in different areas as per qualifications below and these roles will all be providing technology solutions to enable the business through projects and programs to deliver outstanding services and experience for Aviva customers.

These are exciting opportunities to join an experienced team of collaborative enterprise and solution architects. As we are now launching multiple transformation initiatives, we are growing and strengthening the team and seeking experienced solution architects skilled in the areas of data, digital, integration and Guidewire. By working closely with the development teams and applying your expertise, you will help translate business demands, craft the technology landscape to enable business capabilities, transform technology advancement into business value, and make a profound impact on the growth of the organization.

Working collaboratively to gain alignment from other architects, project management teams, business teams, and IT teams on solutions requires a balanced mix of technical, business, and social skills and is the key to the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

You will work directly with enterprise architects, project managers, scrum masters, business product owners, and the IT teams to drive the technology direction for numerous high profile initiatives.

The solution architect must:

·  Understand business demands, objectives, and requirements in the scope of projects
·  Collaborate on and follow architecture principles, standards, roadmaps, patterns, and practices
·  Balance tactical win and craft long-term strategy to establish effective, sustainable, and fit-for-purpose architecture solutions
·  Influence and guide both the business and IT delivery teams to agree on the solutions provided and align on the execution

Required Job Qualifications:

·  University Degree/College Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology disciplines or equivalent experience
·  Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience with design and implementation of architecture solutions.
·  Well versed with both relational RDBMS and NoSQL concepts.
·  Strong proficiency with both batch & real-time integration technologies, i.e. MFT, ETL, Kafka, WMB, Fuse, MQ, various API Gateways
·  Expertise with a variety of relevant Web Services technologies, including RESTFUL APIs (XML, JSON), SOAP APIs, understand SOA, and Microservices.
·  Experience with SSO integration and container technology
·  Defining the infrastructure to support the solution, familiar with Windows and Linux OS, concepts of core, memory, storage, fail-over, DR, load-balancing, and scalability requirements and functions.
·  In-depth understanding of industry standards of building secure and scalable solutions to support internet-facing APIs
·  Excellent knowledge of architectural design patterns
·  Proficient with development tools, CICD, and code automation technologies.
·  Champion of Agile project methodology and tools such as Confluence and Jira.
·  Experience delivering leading-edge solutions with the ability to dive in and out of the details when needed.
·  Superb communication and time management skills. A positive demeanour that cultivates efficiency in a team setting.
·  Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, accountability to "own" the issue and solution and follow it through.
·  Platform exposure and Integration Patterns knowledge on Guidewire insurance suite is a bonus.
·  AWS certification is a bonus.

Role-specific Job Qualifications:

For Digital role:

·  Well versed in providing Web Application Solution using Frontend Technology:
·  HTML, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript
·  Responsive web design
·  Omni Channel solutions
·  Proficient with Web Accessibility Compliance – e.g. WCAG standard and AODA requirements
·  Angular, Sprint MVC
·  Well versed and knowledge in usability design, web protocols, and standards
·  Proficiency in providing customer self-serve web application solutions
·  Experience in Content Management platform, Document Management platform – e.g. Filenet & Alfresco, Document Publishing platform, Document Collaboration platform, and eSignature tool.
·  Experience in search engine optimization
·  Good knowledge in digital marketing related technology / platforms such as Adobe Marketing Cloud (AEM, Marketo, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Target), DoubleClick, Web Analytic tools including Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics
·  Experience with Federated Identity & SSO solution technologies included but not limited to SAML, OAuth, IBM iSAM, and IBM DataPower.
·  Well versed in digital services on AWS

For Integration role:

·  Hands-on solution experience using Fuse ESB or other ESB related products such as IIB.
·  Familiar with Spring Boot.
·  Well versed in solution experience with Microservices
·  Strong proficiency in providing solutions in AWS and familiar with AWS EC2, S3, ALB, Lambda, Kinesis, and API Gateway
·  Understand the concept of MFA
·  Experience with Federated Identity & SSO solution technologies included but not limited to SAML, OAuth, IBM iSAM, and IBM DataPower.
·  Proficient in container, container security, container management platform, and the integration considerations using container technology.
·  Knowledge of Guidewire Edge API is a plus

For Data role:

·  Knowledge of and experience in:
·  Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Marts
·  BigData Platform
·  Master Data Management (MDM), Metadata Management, Data Governance, Data Retention, Data Quality, Data Reference and TDM
·  Analytic and Reporting Platforms
·  Data Integration Technology: ETL, ESB, WebServices, Micro-Services, Event-Driven Architecture
·  AWS EC2, S3, Glue, RDS, Redshift

For Guidewire role:

·  Experience in large implementation of at least one of PolicyCenter or ClaimCenter required, ideally both
·  Proficient in understanding of Guidewire integration patterns and IAM/SSO approach
·  Well versed in Guidewire’s Performance, Scalability, and Availability design principles
·  Experience with implementation based on Guidewire Accelerators
·  Familiar with Guidewire Batch Processes, Event & Messaging, Internal GXModel, and Data Acquisition
·  Certification in v10 is a strong asset
·  Experience with Guidewire Cloud is a plus
·  Proficiency in Guidewire Digital portals and APIs is a plus

Additional Responsibilities:

·  Provide high-level conceptual solution approach for technical estimation and cost benefit analysis to support business case establishment
·  Collaborate with the business teams and drive the architecture solution direction and discussions
·  Influence the business to balance between long term strategic solutions vs tactical interim solutions
·  Provide architecture solution at project / program level based on Agile user stories / business requirements
·  Provide architecture guidance to delivery teams and ensure the architecture solution is being followed during the implementation
·  Supervise emerging designs from delivery teams and make decisions to advise and update architecture solutions
·  Be the owner of the solution and be responsible for bringing in considerations from different parts of IT including but not limited to service management, DR, security, risk & compliance, and infrastructure in addition to fulfilling the business functions.
·  Own the effectiveness of the solution provided and tackle ownership for the update of the solution to meet changing demands
·  Craft architecture solutions through the Architecture Review Board and obtain architecture approval for project implementation to start
·  Ensure solutions provided are sustainable. Log and keep record of any solution or currency tech debt incur.
·  Craft technology paper to introduce new technology to the IT estate for architecture approval
