What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for all actuarial pricing initiatives related to implementing a Digital Direct program across the country, while leading an actuarial team with a focus on enabling profitable growth of a growing portfolio.  You will also ensure the balance between the technical price and the business insights drawn from the analysis of the team.  Lastly, you will effectively collaborate with the Technical Pricing Team, Analytics Team,  and all the stakeholders to achieve common goals.

Accountable for the overall performance and people management of the Digital-Direct actuarial team

· 
Develop appropriate systems, processes and methodologies for analyzing direct-business data

· 
Expert understanding of the digital business to explain the key factors underlying the emerging experience and to provide strategic insights to stakeholders

· 
Research and apply both traditional and innovative ways to apply accepted actuarial techniques to business issues

· 
Coach junior staff and act as a technical expert and mentor for all direct reports.

· 
Ensure all personal insurance products are developed in line with the Product Development and Management Standard, and the Technical Pricing Standard

What you’ll bring:

· 
FCAS/FCIA or very near FCAS

· 
7+ years of personal lines pricing experience or 10+ years of P&C actuarial experience

· 
Experience in implementing a Direct program is highly preferred

· 
Proven track-record in leading, mentoring and growing a high-performance team

· 
Strong problem solving and analytical skills

· 
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build consensus and influence effectively

· 
Hands-on as well as managerial experience in scripting/coding including Python and R

· 
Proven project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize

· 
Deep knowledge of modeling techniques

· 
Ability to build consensus and implement decisions in a collaborative way.  Ready to drive change
