Job description
A position has become available to join our ARF Team in the Cherrywood office on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract to provide maternity leave cover. This is an excellent opportunity to learn new skills and further your experience in a vibrant and challenging post retirement environment. The successful candidate will deal with customer queries and requests in relation to ARFs & Annuities, so the role holder will have a multifaceted working day.
Duties & Responsibilities

Dealing with brokers and customers on ARF policy details and payments both verbally and in writing
·
Responsible for ensuring that transactions are completed within specified timeframes and to the required quality levels
·
Processing customer requests to a high standard
·
Processing customer payments in line with legislation and payroll timeframes
·
Ensuring that good working relationships are developed and maintained with business partners internally & externally
·
Investigating and resolving customer complaints
·
Working closely with the Payroll team in ensuring customers are paid on time
·
Working through and handling mailbox queries within our set turnaround times
·
Supporting the Team Leader in providing excellent customer service at all times
·
You will also be responsible for collaborating closely with other internal departments in dealing with ongoing queries
Skills & Experience required
·
Experience working in financial services industry or Life & pensions industry
·
Strong written communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organisational skills
·
Have a good knowledge of the life and pensions products/industry.
·
Ability to understand, react and adapt to change
·
You will be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team and be customer focused to manage our customer base.
·
Be customer focused to manage the ALPI client base and have track record in providing excellent customer service skills
·
Possess energy, drive and a ‘can do’ attitude
·
Ability to effectively prioritise workloads and work to critical deadlines
·
Strong PC skills (E.G. Microsoft office and ability to learn new systems quickly)
·
A strong understanding of industry regulatory requirements
·
There is no requirement for a specific qualification in relation to this role, however, it would be desirable for the candidate to be working towards a QFA qualification or be willing to undertake LIA (or similar) examinations and further development
