Pension & Investment Performance Manager

Job description

Aviva are currently looking for an experienced Performance Manager to work in our Pensions and Investment team based in Galway. For this role you will need to have an obsession on delivering excellent customer outcomes with a passion for maintaining high, professional standards as well as the ability to motivate a driving team’s morale and results.

The main objective of this role is to work with the Life Business Lead to deliver and develop a strategy to service, retain and upsell to our growing existing customer base, specifically the Non-Protection portion of the Back Book.

Aviva introduced “smart-working” in 2020, and the person in this role will be based in our main Galway office, with flexible working options. 

Duties & Responsibilities

· 
Team collaboration with the Protection New Business Performance & Ops Manager to understand all function requirements to mitigate single person dependency

· 
Having a risk-based approach to proactively contact customers in the non-protection book at key points in the customer & product life cycle, along with ensuring that all of the non-protection customers are serviced annually

· 
Responsible to drive analysis of the existing book to inform a segmented approach to the customer contact strategy

· 
This role requires you to work with MI and ALPI Retention team to develop full suite of MI to effectively analyse our existing base and inform non-Protection contact strategy.

· 
Performance and QA management as well as supervision of  the Back Book QFA team (currently 3 FTE) arranging a financial service and giving advice.

· 
When required you will also be required to deal with adjudication on complaints

· 
Liaise with appointed Broker Consultant to explore business opportunities in servicing existing policies with a view to encourage value for money for the client and profitability for the company.

Skills & Experience required

· 
QFA qualified and committed to further continuous development.

· 
Third Level educational experience preferred

· 
Minimum 3 years work experience in Life and Pensions area.

· 
Strong managerial, operational and organisational skills

· 
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements of the Central Bank

· 
Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills

· 
Brilliant interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

· 
Sufficient reporting skills proficient in Microsoft office, Excel and PowerPoint

· 
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage difficult situations
