Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland is on the lookout for a business operations and process specialist to join the Finance team as Finance Operations Advisor.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the role holder will be responsible for supporting the CFO and Finance Leadership Team (FLT) in the achievement of their goals by aiding the delivery and execution of the Finance strategy. .

The job will focus on optimising financial and commercial performance against business objectives and achieving the best outcome for all involved by actively supporting, participating in and leading key operational and strategic projects.

Role and Responsibilities

· 
Ownership of actions delegated from the CFO and managing risks on their behalf.

· 
Conducting strategic analysis/investigation as needed.

· 
Driving engagement and alignment throughout the FLT, using effective relationship management and organisation skills.

· 
Collaborating with the Communications team to design and coordinate the production of CFO personal and functional communications including reports, presentations and speeches.

· 
Collating key information for reports or presentations for different audiences.

· 
Facilitating FLT meeting effectiveness by owning the agenda, recording the minutes, following up on action items and providing timely updates, insight and challenges.

Skills and Experience

· 
Educated to degree-level or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject.

· 
Demonstrable experience of working in operations-focused roles and confident in creating business reports.

· 
Good understanding of how a Finance department works.

· 
Leadership capabilities developed through people management experience.

· 
Excellent organisational skills and enthusiasm for seeing projects through from end to end.

· 
Execution – confident in managing and adhering to processes.

· 
Strong relationship management and written/verbal communication skills – an influencer and collaborator.

· 
Comfortable handling relationships in a complex, matrix environment.
