This role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join AVIVA’s Property Claims Team in our office at Knocknacarra Galway.

About the Role

The purpose of this key role is, to listen, guide, advise and support our customers when they need us most when notifying a loss to the Property team. This will involve assigning the claim to the accurate channel so that we take care of the customer demands in the most efficient way possible.

As a part of this you will be involved in managing our customers claim and agreeing a fair settlement in line within policy liability.

We take care of Home, Commercial, Engineering, Personal Accident and Travel claims to mention just a few.

Duties and Responsibilities

·  Manage customer emotions and agree solutions
·  Lead our customer journey, identifying failure points and bringing these to the attention of your manager and peers to work towards a resolution
·  Understand customer feedback and what is important to our customers
·  Build positive relationships with colleagues and external contacts, in a professional and compassionate manner
·  Have the confidence to seek mentorship and make decisions which are right first time
·  Share findings and feedback with team members and management

Skills & Experience required

·  Property claims experience
·  Dedicated learning ability in a complex and changing environment
·  Problem solving abilities
·  Ability to pro-actively handle your own workload
·  Strong relationship building skills
·  The right aptitude to make real time decisions based on interchangeable information
·  Excellent communication skills.
·  Great negotiation skills
·  Commitment to the customer
·  Willingness to progress with relevant industry exams if not APA/CIP
