What you’ll do

The Direct Marketing Owner (DMO) will lead a cross-functional marketing squad to utilize Customer Lifetime Value and attribution models, develop digital demand generation strategies, and optimize performance marketing for Aviva’s digital direct to consumer products. The DMO will lead end-to-end marketing efforts for digital direct products, develop and execute the go-to-market strategy, and ensure marketing efforts align with Aviva’s overall digital direct to consumer strategy. They should have a deep understanding of digital marketing and direct to consumer sales. Additionally, they will work closely with their team, the enterprise Marketing team and key stakeholders to ensure business value and user feedback is translated into new developments. The DMO is responsible for managing dependencies with other squads and accountable for achieving KPIs and OKRs related to their ‘product.’

The DMO should have excellent leadership skills and believe in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust. Finally, the DMO should be comfortable with full ownership and accountability as they focus on delivering exceptional customer and business results.

Lead and implement go-to-market and customer acquisition strategy, coordinate with other squads, and drive execution

· 
Own and build a performance marketing program based on growth targets and KPIs

· 
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure marketing efforts align with Aviva digital direct strategy

· 
Manage marketing technology platforms in alignment with enterprise marketing and digital direct strategy

· 
Lead development of KPI dashboards and other relevant performance dashboards for digital direct marketing, including measurement of qualified traffic generation and journey conversion/funnel optimization metrics; responsible for delivering product KPIs, squad OKRs, and for regular tracking/communication to stakeholders

· 
Identify, conceive, and implement performance-enhancing measures for online customer journeys and coordinate with other Product Owners to ensure implementation

· 
Work with Design Lead to ensure consistency in visual design across marketing and user journeys; coordinate with enterprise marketing and global brand

· 
Collaborate with Enterprise Marketing on research and insights, segmentation, and brand strategy / creative services that supports our digital direct business

· 
Work with Enterprise Marketing to develop a best-in-class MarTech stack with a single source 360 customer view; introduce A/B testing frameworks within digital marketing strategy execution

· 
Understand the financial impact of digital marketing decisions; manage marketing budget to deliver against revenue and profitability targets.

What you’ll bring

· 
Proven track record of using user insights, web analytics, and performance marketing best practices to drive traffic and conversion improvement

· 
Experience managing agency relationships, planning and buying digital media, planning performance campaigns, and implementing bidding strategies

· 
7+ years of experience in digital marketing; 3+ years in a leadership role driving digital acquisition

· 
Solid business understanding and expert knowledge of high-quality agile digital marketing

· 
Post secondary degree with a focus on marketing, digital or technology

· 
Deep familiarity working in an Agile process in Product Owner, digital marketing lead, or other similar position

· 
Strong communication & leadership skills, with comfort speaking with business stakeholders and influencing others

· 
Ability to lead, prioritize work and inspire a cross-functional development team to achieve the joint mission

· 
Ability to navigate the organization at a senior level and make decisions for their team

· 
Strong problem-solving ability with the ability to drive a solution and monitor its progress

· 
Ability to build an end-to-end marketing strategy, define roadmap, and set KPIs needed to achieve business objectives

· 
Ability to integrate qualitative & quantitative research, product analysis & customer insights into product requirements 

· 
Ability to gather, analyze and understand customer/business needs, including the ability to define marketing requirements for product development backlog

· 
Ability to clearly express the connections between larger business goals & small backlog items for team
