Consultant, Project Management, Information Security

Role Overview: As an Avanade Project Manager, Information Security, you will lead the delivery of security program commitments and operational initiatives. Through effective organization and management of people, methodologies and technologies, our Project Managers see that projects are executed in a timely manner and at the highest quality level in accordance with established standards. You will manage and report on project tasks, risks, and issues collaborating with the Program Manager on program level views and reporting. Overall, you will work to support the information security team in delivering program commitments that protect enterprise systems, data, assets, and customers.
Key Role Responsibilities: Day-to-day, you will:

-Work closely with information security, business, and IT teams to define, document, communicate, and deliver on program commitments and operational initiatives
-Manage against project scope, deliverables, schedule, dependencies, and other required operating metrics, including producing:
• Microsoft Project Plan
• Resource views and baseline
• Issue and risk logs
-Manage a number of simultaneous tasks and work with multiple stakeholders while demonstrating the ability to drive tasks and issues to completion
-Communicate project status, issues, and risks in a timely manner
-Develop and implement change management and change enablement processes

Qualifications

Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements: Qualifications:
-Demonstrated excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form
-Demonstrated ability to think and work systematically and logically
-Experience planning and managing projects that are resourced and executed by geographically-dispersed teams
-Knowledgeable of at least one software development methodology (e.g., Agile, Scrum, SDLC, Waterfall)
-Knowledgeable of Microsoft platform technologies and tools

General Knowledge & Skills:
-Clear concise oral and written communication
-Proven skills in stakeholder expectations management
-Results oriented; self-directed ability to drive change in unstructured environment
-Business and financial acumen
-Customer-oriented attitude, with great presentation and interpersonal skills
-Experience with security practices, preferred but not required

Preferred Training/Certifications: Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred, but not required
Security-related training and/or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM) considered valuable
Preferred Education Background: You will likely possess an undergraduate degree (or equivalent), preferably in business-related field
Preferred Years of Work Experience: You will likely have 1-3 years of consulting project management experience, preferably within an IT environment
