About the job

The Data Reporting Analyst leverages their understanding of complex data analysis and modeling to assist project teams in extracting value from their data. Working under the direction of their team members, this role supports question formulation, design, research and development, implementation, and testing.

Supports project teams in developing solutions for Avanade's clients driven by exploratory data analysis - Applies knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to better business decision making - Conducts data analyses tests in-line with agreed-upon strategies - Communicates analysis results and recommendations to team members and clients - Provides input and guidance on data visualization techniques and opportunities

Qualifications

Years of Experience: 0-3 years experience

Management Experience: None

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field

·  Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment Minimum technical requirements

·  Major GPA of a 3.0 or above. Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above (3.0 or above highly desired).
·  Experience with at least one key analytics tools (e.g., R, Revolution R, SAS, SPSS, MATLAB, MicroStrategy, Tableau)
·  Knowledgeable of data mining, analysis, modeling, of large scale, complex data sets
·  Knowledgeable of statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing (A/B testing), and optimization algorithms
·  Capable of explaining complex analytical methodologies and concepts in non-technical language

Functional Skills:

• Process documentation and analysis

• Requirements gathering methods and tools

• Understanding of software development and implementation life cycle

• Knowledge of a development methodology
