Embedded Development Engineer POS terminals

Mission:

Within the Merchant Services – Terminals division, you will be part of a team working on the development of platform software for the POS (Point Of Sale) payment terminals. The platform software is a software layer (middleware) between the Operating System of the POS and the payment applications. On top of a general architecture base, the platform is responsible for telecom, security, user interface, packaging, payment card interaction, … Worldline products are based on propriety developed platform software and/or are Android based.As Embedded Development Engineer you will help defining, analysing, developing, validating and documenting the platform software. Developments include the development of the functionality, (automatic) unit testing and (automatic) functional testing within the test framework (using PyTest) which is developed in house.You will cooperate with a flexible development team consisting of colleagues in Belgium and abroad, which means that good communication skills are essential. Our development methodology is based on Agile/Scrum. We offer you an environment where you can improve and deploy your technical and personal skills.Our technical/development environment is based on programming languages (C, Java, Python, Shell, …), OSes (Linux, Android, …), tools (compilers, debuggers, source management, code review, daily builds, …), etc. A very strong interest in a high technical development environment is must for this function. Shortly, you are quick to get to grips with new technologies and you have an innovative attitude.Knowledge of and/or experience with embedded systems and secure coding is a definite big advantage.
