Job Description

The self-service production and assembly area operates within the DSS business unit of Worldline. This is a low volume facility that produces circa eight hundred units per annum for a variety of industries.

The Guildford production unit assembles rail ticketing, Interactive Digital Signage and hotel check-in kiosks to Worldline customers.

This role will report directly to the Production Manager, but work closely with the team of assembly, test and floor supervisor.

The Stores Assistant will also work directly with Procurement team.

This is a full time positionbased in Guildford. The standard hours of work are 37 hours per week, which normally be worked from 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 to 16:00 on Friday.

The Stores Assistant will access the production and assembly area which is a controlled area for HSE and regular access to this area will be required to oversee production activities wearing the relevant protective clothing.

This position is directly responsible for ensuring all stock is accurately managed and tracked.

Responsibilities:

Stock Inventory

· Carry out stock management on a daily basis
· Continuously control and ensure appropriate stock levels of goods for ongoing delivery of all orders
· Maintain efficient stock rotation and handling system
· Review obsolete stock levels - Make recommendation
· Constantly reviewing the number of parts to reduce where not viable
· Book stock to system, check invoices and produce stock labels

Organisation of

· Incoming Goods, Deliveries, Invoices, Relationships with suppliers, Paperwork

Stocktake

· Carry out relevant cyclical stock audits/takes

Business goals

· Develop opportunities to improve efficiencies and productivity
· Achieve agreed SLAs and KPIs
· Look for consistent improvement within work processes to ensure departmental efficiencies
· Support business practices and focus at all times
· Liaise effectively with various teams, ensuring strong lines of communication are maintained

Organisation

· Organise workload to provide back-up / support for Production Manager

Reporting

· Regular feedback of results, successes, threats within sphere of influence
· Develop relevant reporting to drive department initiatives

Health & Safety Responsibilities

· To follow company Health and Safety procedures ensuring safety of yourself and your colleagues
· To take reasonable care and attention to current work practices and procedures for yourself, colleagues and others by observing safety rules where applicable
