The opportunity
We have exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor to support our Independent Assessment Services (IAS) contract. IAS carries out Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions
People are our greatest asset and with over 2,000 colleagues we are looking to fill a critical position in our HR advisory team.
We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor, on a full-time 12 months FTC basis, to provide comprehensive advice, support and mentorship regarding employee relations.
You will be responsible for leading a small team of HR advisors and providing operational HR advice and direction to managers. Whilst the main focus will be to support IAS with leading and reducing absence, you will also support on wider employee relations issues such as performance management, subject area and grievance. You will also work in partnership with senior leaders and play an active part in identifying and analysing trends and provide recommendations to improve.
Liaising with a number of key partners you will be responsible for providing advice and support to on a wide range of people issues, liaising with the employee relations centre of excellence for complex employment issues. You will also undertake operational duties for the account in relation to audits, acting as the gatekeeper of the account organisation structure and data accuracy as well as leading cyclical projects related to annual compensation and benefits reviews.
This role will be home based although there may be occasional travel required.

A demonstrable track record in delivering appropriate mentorship and assisting managers in relation to casework including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, performance management etc
·
Maintain effective customer relations and service by providing proactive and timely advice
·
Solid understanding of UK&I employment legislation, CIPD level 5 would be advantageous
·
Strong HR ER experience gained in high volume, transactional environments with disciplinary, grievance, probation and sickness absence management cases.

Excellent communication skills and ability to build good working relationships
·
Experience of research and analysis of information
·
Mobility crucial
·
Good solid understanding of Microsoft office tools, Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint
