This is a full-time permanent position, based in Scotland (Glasgow - Edinbrugh corridor ideally, but candidates from any Scotland location can be considered).

Initial attendance on customer site at start of a large project/new transition.  Onwards 5 days/week.

Adhoc customer site visits as required, on site customer workshops. This person will work to UK core business hours (09:00 – 17:30 Monday to Friday) with occasional out of hours or weekends (only by exception).

The opportunity
This person will coordinate and lead at a technical level Network transitions for new Atos customers that have current incumbent suppliers through to successful migration transition into Atos. This role is typically account based but working under DCNS COE standards providing technical strategy, design assurance, road maps and consultation in the support of solutions, projects and services for one or more Atos accounts. This person reports to a NTA Team manager within the DCNS COE practice.

The position is overarching a Technical Architecture team, who are responsible for the Design and Assurance of the client's Network and base Security infrastructure. To fulfill this role requires building up a strong, positive relationship with the customer as a trusted advisor and building a detailed and in-depth understanding of client's infrastructures, systems, policies, practices and applications along with spearheading any new projects jointly between Atos and the customer.

The Network Technical Architect need to be commercially aware. Provide road maps and long-term strategy for the customer business needs and requirements according to Atos offerings and standards.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

The following are the major responsibilities of this position:

·  Lead new customer transitions into Atos from an overall technical perspective
·  Acquire a detailed understanding of the client's business needs, technologies, key applications and network and security infrastructure
·  Be the Overarching Technical Authority for Networks and Security team
·  Work closely with the wider account team to develop an account technical strategy and roadmap
·  Provide Network consultancy the team and Client as required
·  Ensure that Networks & Security are taken into account in all new solutions
·  Provide Network technical input into Business Office proposals ensuring that the solution satisfies the customer’s requirements and is aligned with Atos standards along with accurate effort estimates for all new projects and incremental work.
·  Support, contribute and author in some occasions High Level Designs (HLD) to meet client project requirements in compliance with Atos CTO standards and strategy.
·  Provide technical assurance to the wider team throughout the Low Level Design and Implementation project phases to ensure compliance with the HLD and Atos standards are maintained.
·  Support the wider team in the Technical Assurance process by attending Account Technical Assurance Boards as an approver.
·  Identify and propose Service Improvements, Cost Reductions and upsell / Revenue Opportunities

Personal

·  Must hold CCIE or CCDP industry level qualification or have equivalent technical ability and experience
·  Must hold JNCIE or JNCIP industry level qualification or have equivalent technical ability and experience
·  Be an authority in Voice and unified comms solutions, Telemetry systems, Data Networking and Network security solutions
·  Must hold or be able to undertake and gain Security Clearance to SC level
·  Willing to travel as necessary according to business needs
·  Ability to work in fast-paced environment and stay decisive
·  Ability to appraise and quality assure the work of others
·  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Technical focus and drive

·  Proven successful skills in providing technical design and architecture solutions specifically in Networks and Security
·  Professional and dynamic approach, demonstrates a clear passion for delivering world-class IT services and solutions
·  Previous experience in a Network Architecture role
·  Excellent all round knowledge of IT infrastructure

·  Fluent English language written and verbal.

·  Capable of articulating the detailed nature of any given situation appropriately to the target audience whether technical or non-technical.
·  Previous involvement in presentations to senior management levels internally and to the client arena.
·  Presence and credibility in front of customers, with the gravitas to work effectively with our client representatives and technical teams.

Significant knowledge of other key leading technologies such as :

·  Checkpoint Software Technologies
·  SDN
·  NFV
·  Cloud services such as Azure, AWS, and Google
·  Juniper
·  CISCO

Skills we’d like:
