Position Title:  

Database Administrator / .Net Developer

 

Location:  

Fort Wayne, Indiana (or remote within 5 hours of Fort Wayne, Indiana)

 

Core Responsibilities:

·  Designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. 
·  Design, create, and implement database systems based on the end user's requirements. 
·  Improve application's performances. 
·  Memory management for database systems.
·  Develop database schemas, tables and dictionaries. 
·  Ensure the data quality and integrity in databases. 
·  Fix any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures. 
·  Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
·  Creating table indexes to improve database performance
·  Take regular database backup.
·  Test databases and perform bug fixes.
·  Participate in requirements analysis
·  Develop best practices for database design and development activities.
·  Working with application developers to create optimized queries

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·  2-5 years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role
·  Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 
·  Working knowledge of BI Stack
·  Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3
·  Working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript 
·  Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
·  Team player
·  Good time-management skills
·  Great interpersonal and communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Proven Experience with C#
·  Experience with Access, MySQL
·  Working knowledge of VBScript
·  Understanding of the SDLC
·  Experience designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. 
·  Experience creating complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
