Job Description

Database Platform Management involves designing software applications that interact with the user, other applications, and the database itself to capture and analyze data.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Analyzes and solves problems that are lower complexity and may be routine in nature, requiring varied responses depending on the situation.
Interacts with peers within Accenture before updating supervisors. Likely has some interactions with non-management levels at the client and/or within Accenture.
Receives minimal instruction on daily work tasks and a moderate level of instruction on new assignments.
Decisions impact own work and may impact the work of others.
Individual contributor and/or oversees a small work effort and/or team.

The Database Administrator DBA handles multifunctional database projects. The DBA administers development test databases. The DBA is primarily responsible for performing many related database functions across one or more teams. This may include designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup recovery and configuration management. The DBA is able to install database management systems DBMS related software tools, and has a working knowledge of operating systems. The DBA is also able to submit input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day to day maintenance.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience as SQL Server DBA supporting large scale production systems, or equivalent .
·  Minimum of 2 years of experience in SQL programming and performance tuning.
·  Minimum of 2 years of experience in Backup/Recovery.
·  Minimum of 1 year of experience in High Availability (Clustering, Log Shipping Replication or equivalent ).
·  Minimum of 1 year of experience in shell scripting (Windows).
