The opportunity

The MI & Analytics team is part of the Atos BPS Ltd COO and is responsible for supporting the business by ensuring that there is a clear and accurate view of performance alongside access to high quality analysis support.


The team consists of Data & Reporting Developers, responsible for the interrogation, transformation and extraction of our data, maintenance of our local data structures and the creation of our reports & bespoke technical solutions, and Analytics Consultants, responsible for turning our data into actionable & value adding insight highlighting the areas of opportunity & risk.


Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

Working closely with your peers to facilitate a regular suite of reports, extracts and adhoc requests on time and to a high degree of accuracy and quality.

Development and maintenance of new and existing reports, automated reporting suites and bespoke technical solutions such as self-serve tools.

Interrogation of data sources, transforming the data into a format which can be used to provide actionable insight.

Ensure the smooth running of our reporting suite and the ongoing development of our data infrastructure, working to deliver efficiency improvements where possible

Working closely with a variety of peers and stakeholders to gather, rationalise & transform business requirements into technical specs based on data structure and availability.

Working closely with IT and projects to support the successful delivery of change ensuring the necessary data components are avaialble to support analysis.

Skills we can’t do without:

·  Educated to degree level or have demonstrable experience working in a data or analysis function.
·  Expert user in Microsoft Access/databases, Excel and VBA.
·  Ability to write complex SQL queries involving multiple data sources.

(This will be tested)

·  Experience of working with large amounts of data.
·  Experience of creating fully automated reporting solutions.
·  Advanced understanding of data sourcing, storage, transformation, validation and extraction principles.
·  Ability to gather & rationalise business requirements, translating into technical builds.
·  Experience of providing reports to stakeholders within agreed timelines.
·  High degree of attention to detail.
·  Inquisitive but logical mind with an aptitude for problem solving.
·  A confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
·  Ability to manage own workload and time effectively.



Skills we’d like:

·  Experience of BI tools (Power BI, or similar).

Understanding of analytical techniques and experience in providing insight into statistical reports.
