Position Title:

Cerner Millennium Clinical Informatics Analyst Architect

 

Location:

Flint or Lansing, MI:  (There is eligibility for Remote/WFH with 95% travel)

 

Shift:

As the business needs dictate

 

Core Responsibilities:

·  Strong understanding of clinical systems used in healthcare organizations including Cerner Millennium, Clinical Decision Support and other clinical workflow improvement tools
·  An understanding of data structures, database design and basic IT infrastructure principles
·  Familiarity with the clinical development process and an ability to identify areas for improvement in clinical workflow and adoption
·  An understanding and experience with clinical driven revenue models
·  Works with the professional staff to optimize digital adoption and standardization of clinical information systems
·  Works collaboratively with clinical areas and eHR regarding the development and translation of business or clinical needs, using appropriate tools and methodologies
·  Strong industry knowledge related to clinical concepts, clinical care processes, clinical information systems, possessing the ability to use this knowledge to lead strategies to address these gaps with clinical team.
·  Strong leadership skills and proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence operational change
·  Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills; demonstrated ability to interact with a variety of end-users, internal and external stakeholders and colleagues
·  Solid working knowledge of technical, clinical and operational business data, data management and analytical approaches to develop, implement and provide ongoing support of a corporate strategy, including performance management and decision, population health and value-based care.
·  Maintains clinical competency, practice standards of care, and knowledge; and supports the integration of evidence-based practice in the delivery of quality care/services.
·  Employs design and usability thinking to influence clinical technology projects
·  Works collaboratively with client on workflow design/modification; functional specifications, design, build and test changes to workflow logic in response to requested changes; obtains approval/ signoff acceptance from customer for required milestones
·  Responsible for working collaboratively with all Atos Cerner Millennium Solution Teams and other Atos Service teams for the delivery of Healthcare Information Technology services to achieve measurable high customer satisfaction levels for services delivered.
·  Acts as a liaison between client(s) and vendor(s) related to system functionality specifications.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Demonstrated knowledge of project management practices, methodologies and principles.
·  Demonstrates strong research and evaluation skills.
·  Advanced computer skills with current multiple applications relevant to the role.
·  Basic understanding of applicable federal and state EMR/EHR related laws and healthcare accreditation standards to assist customer in EHR adaptation and compliance

 

Minimum Requirements:

·  A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a 4-year formal degree in a related healthcare/hospice discipline such as: Nursing, Allied Health or patient care/clinical related specialty and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a health care environment, including extensive experience using related computer technology, clinical change management, and/or project leadership. Clinical operations experience required.
·  2-5+ years Cerner Millennium experience (implementation and/or application support and/or end user experience)
·  Demonstrated experience in policy and procedure development and/or clinical documentation standards, business process analysis, reengineering and optimization techniques.
·  Demonstrated ability to effectively coach, facilitate and lead others.
·  Demonstrated knowledge and practice in effective problem solving techniques including analytical skills that support identification, analysis and development of viable solution plans to address the healthcare customer needs
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal and presentation skills for contact with customers and peers to obtain and interpret a variety of information based on knowledge of departmental practices, system/operational workflows, hospital policies and programs and specific technical and regulatory knowledge.
·  Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills.
·  Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team.
