The Big Data - High End Platform global service & engineering role is expected to fullfill all the responsabilities in the realms of monitoring, implementing changes, reacting to incidents, customer interaction & handling, communication with internal teams, in order to ensure contractual engineering related tasks for the BD-HEP hardware product line. As an 24x7 support engineer you are expected to bring great English communication skills (both written and spoken) together with IT skills such as O365, hardware, software and ITIL principles. The role is part of a global team and reporting tasks will be done for multiple stakeholders in respect to the necessities of the BD-HEP service line. Work will be done accordingly from the GLOBAL 24x7 support team.

 

Activities will include :
Technical configurations, configuration pricing, technical support to local presales for technical bid proposals 
Handling L1 incidents 
Creation and delivery of presales training to local presales and GBU.
A special focus will be put on the Partner Channel Support (Dell, HDS, CISCO …) in coordination with the Channel Manager inside “Server & Appliances” team, with the deal desk dedicated to these channel.

Job Requirements:

Preferable a qualified degree in the STEM field or an equivalent professional education 
Basic knowledge of IT principles and techniques 
Theoretical knowledge of HPC/Big Data principles & architecture 
Good working knowledge in English language with an interest in getting to the point quickly. 
Strong customer service orientation with distinct organizational skills. 
Strong analytical mindset 

Interface with on site engineers worldwide

Flexibility and availability for 24/7 shift schedule.
Knowledge of French or German is a plus.
