The opportunity

 

The main purpose of the GTS Automation Engineer Role is the provision of technical support, maintenance and management of Enterprise Management Data Center Automation platforms deployed across Atos and its customers. Service support is provided within an ITIL framework and is managed by customer specific Service Level Agreements (SLA). This role will operate within this framework.

 

This is a full time position, available UK wide.

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

 

·  Organization
·  Provide toolset platform support to multiple accounts;
·  Deploy toolset agents to small incremental project work for shared services and existing customer toolset platforms;
·  Support of new account and technical refresh business activities.

 

·  Productivity
·  Supports KPI targets across GTS;
·  Incident, Change, Problem resolution specific to the Enterprise Management Toolset technologies;
·  Proactively monitor the monitoring and data center automation systems for issues before they arise;
·  Take full ownership of the monitoring and datacentre automation systems and resolve complex issues;
·  Support and troubleshooting of the end-to-end auto-ticketing process;
·  Work to streamline monitoring to provide maximum monitoring with minimal auto-tickets.

 

·  Client & Processes
·  Maintenance of the tooling infrastructure in-line with the architectural design and engineering standards;
·  Service Acceptance of Data Center Automation platforms;
·  DevOps/Agile processes (including Continuous integration/Continuous deployment concepts and tools).

 

·  Innovation
·  Develop new automation techniques using existing tools to reduce manual intervention;
·  Maintains awareness of Enterprise Management toolset technologies;
·  Proactively work with other sub-tower support teams to reduce auto-ticket generation.

 

Skills we’re looking for:

 

Knowledge of:

· 
· 
·  System Monitoring: Microsoft Systems Centre Operations Manager, Nagios, CA Network & System Management, BMC Truesight;
·  System Management: HP Server Automation, BMC Blade Logic, Microsoft Systems Centre Configuration Manager;
·  Automation frameworks and tools such as Red Hat Ansible Automation;
·  Scripting tools like Ruby or Python;
·  Linux and MS Windows in prompt mode, "CLI", text editors, and various SSH clients;
·  Implementing system infrastructure and cloud solutions, including data storage, networking, monitoring, and security;
·  Networking fundamentals;
·  Proficient in Enterprise Management frameworks and other tools which may be appropriate (Arago, Syntbots, ServiceNow Orchestration, BeatBox);
·  Acquainted with multiple platforms - Windows, Linux, UNIX, AS400.
