Job description

· Monitoring, escalation and reporting of all customer network, servers, and datacenter facilities equipment status and problems.
· Batch and backup job submission and monitoring and backup media management.
· Maintenance of all datacenter operation documentation ( procedures and checklists ) and tracking of all hardware and software assets movement, ownership and inventory (Asset management ).
· Administration, management and backup of all datacenter security card access and CCTV systems to maintain datacenter physical security and integrity.
· Provide remote hands-and-eyes support and assist server and network with first level troubleshooting.
· Assist with server rack mounting , network cable patching and patch record maintenance.
· Assist in follow up in audit requirement and compliance.
· Assist with simple scripting to help automate DC operations internal file backup and housekeeping functions.
· Provide support for DC related project implementation ( migration , decommissioning etc)
· Perform Helpdesk role after office hours.

Requirements

· Able to work rotating 12 hour shifts with occasional overtime.
· Demonstrate good teamwork with peers
· Demonstrate operational readiness in covering for peers in their absence or as and when required for DC related activities.( Overtime )
· Fresh ITE graduate in IT or Computer studies or equivalent
· ITIL Version 3 and Datacenter certifications ( CDCP/A ) an advantage.
· Working knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO27001 certification an advantage
· Basic knowledge in Windows and Unix commands, Control M and other operating system commands an advantage
· Experience in supporting banking, insurance, manufacturing industry an advantage
· Able to demonstrate knowledge of corporate organization, job and policies.
· Working knowledge of administration or technical skills/knowledge in relevant areas.
· Working from standard protocols/documents, able to gather relevant information systematically to troubleshoot and resolve all routine problems and some moderately -complex problems.
· Basic understanding of high availability system environments.
· Understand and begin to apply basic project management skills.
· Proficient in professional spoken, written English and telephone communication skills.
· Ability to build and maintain ongoing relationships with customers, peers, and other support teams.
· Able to understand typical customer system environments with associated business needs.
· Ability to work in a team environment, which may be local, global, virtual, or multi- functional.
