Asset Analyst Job Description


The IT Asset Analyst will be responsible to assist in the execution of Asset Lifecycle Management. This candidate will maintain accurate records of all infrastructure IT assets in addition to being responsible for maintenance contract management. Responsibilities also will include ongoing daily monitoring and execution of asset management processes and procedures to ensure accurate tracking of the IT hardware asset environment. The right candidate must have knowledge of current IT infrastructure hardware (understand chassis vs component, by model understand asset categorization). Must be very proficient with excel and detail oriented. This role requires a candidate that is very organized, and detail focused and able to work well and coordinate with multiple Operational Towers.




• End to end tracking of infrastructure IT equipment (procurement to disposal) and management of the IT asset database.

• Management of maintenance contracts and insuring optimization in coverage levels and pricing, and compliance (on time renewals to avoid penalties and putting environment at risk).

• Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing data, problem identification and resolution and ability to effectively communicate issues to management and work to resolution.

• Ability to work with large amounts of data from multiple sources.

• Complete internal audits of asset records to ensure accuracy (status, location, etc.)

• Self-starter that can collaborate actively within ALM team and with others in cross-functional towers.

• Implement and maintain Asset Management policies and procedures.

• Ensure that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.

• Building and maintaining client relationships.

• Should be able to apply basic finance and accounting principles to daily tasks.

• Back up for Account Payable, ensure that invoices received match baselines from Vendor

• Create report to analyze behavior of payment trend to all NAO suppliers, monthly forecast to support management team

• Reconcile PO dollar amounts and co-ordinate adding more funds to established Purchase Orders

• Regularly communicates with internal personnel verbally and via email Requirements:

• 4 Year college degree, preferred in Business Information System or related degree.

• Experience in development of IT Asset Lifecycle Management processes.

• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

• Extreme detail oriented in all aspects of work.

• Ability to understand and interpret KPIs, SLAs and other IT service performance metrics as related to Asset Life Cycle Management and perform within the contract requirements.

• Ability to work as an effective team member as well as a self-motivated individual contributor. Proven ability to deliver high quality work on time and with minimal supervision, this role requires a self-starter.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize working in a fast-paced environment.

• Expert level use of Excel in working with multiple large data sources to combine for use in problem resolution.

• Has work experience with software companies or have worked in a procurement department licensing computer software and/or hardware.

• Focused on planning ahead and managing time well.

• Versatility, flexibility and processing of information quickly. Able to manage several tasks simultaneously

• Strong bilingual skills (English/Spanish) in both written and verbal communications.

• Willing to put in extra time and effort in crisis situations. Role Desirables

• Knowledge of Hardware/Software/Lease contracts and licensing terminology
