Job Description

The organisation has a wide range of clients with varying Accessibility and Assistive Technology requirements. In recognition of this need the accessibility team is expanding.

This role is required to help Atos fulfil its commitments to providing Reasonable Adjustments for its staff and its clients and to help promote Accessibility and Digital Inclusion within all internal processes and for all our customers.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide guidance direction and leadership on Assistive Technology (AT) systems and solutions. This role will help promote best practice around AT solutions and develop AT service offerings. The role also requires the development, maintenance and publication of quality standards, technology and service solutions for Assistive Technology technologies and related services.

This position is based in Salford. There may be some flexibility to work remotely occasionally, but candidate will be expected to be based on client site in Salford most of the time. This is a full time position within standard office hours.

The range of activities and tasks to be undertaken by an Accessibility and Digital Inclusion Specialist are to:-

· Manage the development and release of global portfolio items for solutions provided by the Accessibility and Digital Inclusion team
· Manage the on-going development of technology solutions, services and roadmaps for Assistive Technology AT systems in the provision of AT solutions both IT and non IT
· Promote best practice solutions and services for Assistive Technology services for Atos customers and service delivery teams
· Build relationships with appropriate AT services and technology groups within Atos to identify planned developments and initiatives in Assistive Technology solutions
· Support the documentation and maintenance of a set of best practice standards for AT solutions that are built on best industry practice and are regularly benchmarked
· Be fully aware of technology trends supplier strategies future technical opportunities and threats in Assistive Technology systems
· To provide advice guidance and technical leadership to projects during the full development lifecycle on Assistive Technology service and technology solutions paying particular attention during the initial inception and elaboration stages of a project to ensure AT compliance is fully integrated into the delivery of Atos projects
· Provide strategic guidance and technical assurance on Assistive Technology systems to presales and operations staff for solutions proposed for bids

· Has at least two years’ experience of managing and supporting Assistive Technologies and Services and how they should be delivered within a corporate environment
· In depth understanding of service delivery and service management issues involved in providing an Assistive Technology service
· Proven experience in handling requests for AT solutions and service from clients with a broad spectrum of different needs.
· Proven experience in end to end development of bids

· Preferably educated to degree level or holds a professional qualification, such asCPACC or equivalent experience
