About the role

ARM’s “Imaging and Vision Group (IVG)” provides image processing technology that you will almost certainly be using today! From the Image Signal Processor used in digital cameras (be it a surveillance camera, drone or tablet), to our “Assertive Display” powering more than a billion mobile devices.

The SoCs at the heart of these devices use our “intellectual property” in the form of software and hardware designs, which is the culmination of man-decades of development in the field of imaging.

The successful candidate will work primarily within the IVG hardware development team. In this position he/she will play a leading role in developing infrastructure solutions for automated build, test and delivery of IVG’s hardware cores.

This work will incorporate a necessity to oversee source code management strategies to ensure full traceability of all stages of the hardware development and delivery lifecycle.

This role is critical to ensure the delivery of high quality, functional correct IP cores to multiple SoC customers who are operating in a diverse range of markets including mobile, automotive and surveillance.

Job Requirements

What skills and qualifications do I need?

Essential :

Knowledge of ASIC and FPGA development flows

One or more of programming languages: C99/C++11, Java 8, Python

Experienced user of CI system(s) (e.g. Jenkins, Buildbot, TeamCity)

Experience with developing plugins for CI systems.

Git/Subversion

Desirable :

VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog

Knowledge of hardware verification including UVM

Experience with Groovy and/or Bash scripting

Experience with Maven

Experience with Java 8

Education:

Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s degree in a related subject such as Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science. Master’s preferred or equivalent
