About the role

This Research Engineering position will focus process technology development. Primary focuses would include new BEOL NVM devices, BEOL integration and engagement with process tool vendors. The Research Engineer will work in a large dynamic team rapidly developing new technologies, and will interact with a wide range of foundry partners and tool vendors. This position provides significant opportunity for innovation. The position could include up to 25% travel and is available in either San Jose (US) or Austin (US).

What will I be accountable for?

The candidate will be responsible for understanding and working with all BEOL NVM device and integration issues with all ARM manufacturing partners with the goal of helping to bring a new NVM to the ARM ecosystem. The candidate will need excellent communication skills, people and project management skills is a plus, the ability to work under time-scale pressure and meet aggressive targets without compromising quality and driving delivery of tasks to a specific schedule.

Roles specifics could include:

·  Development of NVM unit processes and integration into BEOL NVM devices
·  Process transfer into commercial foundries
·  Working with tools vendors and foundries on new processes/devices
·  Working with metrology companies on characterization and reliability
·  Working with universities to assess new technologies and integration schemes

Job Requirements

What skills, experience and qualifications do I need?

This position requires expert knowledge in one or more of the following areas of technology development:

Required

·  Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering. The degree should be in electrical engineering or other related science or technology degrees (physics, mathematics, chemistry, etc.).
·  BEOL CMOS integration
·  BEOL NVM Integration and device
·  Material deposition including ALD, CVD, sputter and spin-on
·  Process transfers from academia or tool vendors to commercial manufacturers
·  Process tool and material development
·  Metrology for material and process development

Desirable

·  Practical experience working in large teams
·  Ability to work with multiple groups both internal and external
·  Product ramp and yield
·  Design of Experiment
·  Data analysis and data presentation
