Working as part of the Engineering team, this position provides an interesting and innovative role where you will be involved in the verification of advanced computer vision solutions and neural network processors.

You will work with the hardware and prototyping teams in the creation of faster, smaller, more robust and power-efficient hardware.

This is a demanding hands-on technical role. You will work as part of a world class engineering team employing leading edge verification techniques to develop best-in-class IP that is optimised for low power and high performance.

You will be expected to have a wide breadth of design verification knowledge and experience of developing/improving verification methodologies and working practices.

As a verification engineer you will be capable of owning the verification of a unit within a project through all phases of the design and verification flow. Your work will have a large impact on the quality of the IP we deliver and ultimately on the success of our team.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Creating and reviewing design verification documentation.

• Designing and implementing verification IP and testbenches.

• Testing and debugging Verilog and SystemVerilog RTL.

• Planning and tracking tasks to meet the targets at the planned time.

• Working alongside the design team to ensure the quality of the design work done along with on time delivery.

Job Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience

• Substantial experience of RTL verification for complex ASIC products.

• Proficiency in a hardware verification language, preferably SystemVerilog / UVM.

• Experience of development of coverage-driven constrained random test environments.

• Exposure to all stages of the design cycle: initial concept, specification, implementation and testing, documentation and support.

• Experience of producing specifications and documentation describing complex designs.

• With a flexible attitude and the ability to schedule your own work and tasks, you will enjoy working collaboratively with your colleagues within the team.

• Willingness to tackle varied and complex technical challenges.

• Excellent communication and written skills in English.

• A degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or Microelectronics or equivalent

• Other science graduates will be considered with relevant experience

It is advantageous to have but not essential to have:

• Experience of mentoring and coaching other engineers.

• High level programming experience such as C/C++ and scripting languages, e.g. Perl/TCL/Python.

• Experience of low power RTL design.

The right candidate will be a pro-active individual, with a flair for detail, analysis and problem solving. You will be happy to communicate with and educate all members of the wider team, and have a real passion and interest in their work.

Working within a multi-site team the successful candidate would be expected to travel to other sites on occasions.
