We are a technology focused retailer hiring JavaScript developers at our London Tech Hub.

You will be working on re-implementing the Checkout, Basket and Post Order journeys of the Argos web-site.

It's an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in the process of re-architecting the basket, checkout and account customer experience on a brand new tech stack. We're building exciting new features that we can test and release at pace, delighting our customers and helping to take digital at Argos to another level.

Typical Technologies in our stack for this role:

We use JavaScript, Node.js, React, Redux, ES6/7/8, Babel, Webpack, webdriver.io, Cucumber, Jest and Enzyme to name but a few. We connect with back-end micro services architecture running on a mixture of AWS and on-prem, deployed to Mesos/Marathon with Redis, Dynamodb, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, Docker & Kafka. We keep track of everything using Git, Jira & Confluence and use the full Scrum-ban cycle with stand-ups, planning poker, burndowns, demo's, retros, sprint planning and empowered teamwork!

Challenges we're excited about tackling:

Checkout, Basket and Post Order modules of the Argos web-site are the most complicated and challenging areas of the entire platform. It requires integrating with many systems like Payment, Order Management, Product Details, My Profile, Promotion service, Loyalty service, etc. You will have a chance to sit down with all the other teams and be involved in design discussions, work closely with other teams, apply BDD and TDD using UI and API Level testing frameworks. So this role requires advanced technical and good communication skills, not just sitting and coding all the time. Therefore, we are looking for people that are open to discussions, has experience on integration projects.

We are looking for people with:

· Solid JavaScript engineering and coding skills (React framework mainly)

· Good understanding of modern UI design for a power-user

· Agility in their soul

· An eye for great customer service and delivery

· Enjoy working on end-to-end stories in a multi-disciplinary team

· Has worked on Integration projects before
