· The Role

You will be working in a new Reporting & MI Team, which will be responsible for the ownership of all daily, weekly and periodic sales, margin and stock reporting across the business. As Reporting Analyst, you will provide accurate data, reporting and dashboards to finance and business teams to drive productive actions and improve business performance. You will work closely with our offshore team in India to automate routine daily / weekly reporting and local teams to develop reporting for initiatives, promotions and key events.

As Reporting Analyst, you will:

Establish new standardised reporting suites for Business Partnering teams to support the continuous drive of business results.
To own and drive the delivery of daily/weekly/monthly results to the agreed deadlines - Ensuring that the results are communicated in a timely and accurate fashion.
Build data extract queries within SQL to service business data requests.
Work with Analytics Development team to maintain and develop our SQL reporting databases to ensure they remain accurate and fit for purpose.
Be the guardian of data which will be the one source of truth for all reporting within the business.
Ensuring latest forecasts (CRM) are represented in all business reporting.
Ensure that the appropriate control mechanisms are in place and followed.
Support the delivery of Finance improvement initiatives and implementation of internal & external best practices to enhance process efficiency and quality of outputs.
Reporting improvements e.g. report rationalisation, design and implementation Argos data.
Lead and develop the Assistant Reporting Analyst.

Your skills & experience will include:

Graduate calibre individual with desire in wanting to develop personally and technically.
Ideally be a Qualified Accountant, CIMA / ACCA but not essential.
Knowledge of in Database creation and management, preferably with VBA (Essential), SQL Querying (Essential) and Web Based Reporting & BI tools (Desirable).
A commercial/retail background with experience in reporting.
Experience of working with and presenting analytical results to Non-Finance users.
Must be a self-starter with the initiative and drive to get results quickly.
Team player with good presentation and communication skills (both verbal & written)
Experience in a large company environment, preferably retail (desired)
