In a nutshell:

The campaign assistant will support the campaign manager and campaign executive on larger campaigns and develop communications for smaller campaigns across all touch-points. Supporting the end-to-end campaign process from campaign briefing, through to developing the campaign creative approach and post-launch evaluation, the campaign assistant will play a part in our ability to differentiate our brand, excite our customers and create demand.

What I need to do?

This will involve assisting with taking the seasonal proposition generated by the Marketing Planning team and bringing it to life. Support will be needed in writing the brief, briefing the brief, managing the development of the work, gaining relevant stakeholder buy in and approval, and work with the campaign manager and campaign executive to creatively execute the campaign. Once a campaign has been launched they need to evaluate the results and feed the learning back in.

In time campaign assistants will be able to manage their own campaigns with support from the campaign managers.

Specifically:

Support campaign team in the planning and delivery of campaigns
Help to translate smaller propositions into an inspiring brief for the cross-agency team and learn to evaluate the agencies strategic and creative responses
Working closely with the campaign managers, you will provide high quality campaign execution across the media mix, including temporary in store Point of Sale, TV, press, outdoor, radio, social, digital, videography and photography
Manage the clothing sample process for photo-shoots
Manage in store Point of Sale across the Tu Department (supported by Campaign Exec)
Understand the photo-shoot process and in time, manage this
Work with agencies to ensure all content is relevant for the customer and our commercial priorities
Ensure high awareness of campaigns internally. Working along colleague team to build internal campaigns, engagement documents and be confident at presenting at all ‘huddles' within the store support centres

Shoot management

Manage the product selection process and work closely with the buying teams to ensure the products selected match the brief and all arrive on time
Be a brand guardian on shoots to ensure guidelines are adhered to, the campaign creative approach is being delivered and stakeholder feedback has been incorporated
Manage the critical path with agencies to monitor the progress of current campaigns and plan for future campaigns

Gain an understanding of the marketing process and all stages of a campaign

Sample and Shoot management

All stakeholders are happy with shoot plans prior to the shoot
All samples are collated and arrive on time for relevant shoots
Critical path dates and deadlines are on track

What I need to know

An understanding of marketing principles (preferably within the retail sector) and the end to end process for a marketing campaign from proposition to deployment
How to effectively communicate with customers
How to influence and engage stakeholders to deliver effective smaller campaigns
A solid understanding of the Tu brand and its competitors
An understanding of the communication channels available and media mixes, and how to best communicate in them
How to manage and support on a number of projects and tasks at the same time
