Here in Supply Chain, it’s all about getting the balance right. Making sure we’ve got the right amount of stock to keep up with our customer demands, but not having too much that our products go to waste. After all that isn’t good for business, and not good for our lovely environment either.

Joining us as an Imports Controller, you will be working within our Imports Department leading the team of Imports Operators to optimise stock availability and logistics flow. You will be working closely with wider Commercial Supply Teams, Asia Sourcing Office, Suppliers, Internal Distribution, 3PL’s and Carriers with the primary objective of smooth transition of Purchase Orders from shipment thought to delivery from our international suppliers (Europe/ ISCA/ Asia/ ROW). You will be providing operational leadership to drive the Imports supply model and delivery future strategy.

More about the role:

You’ll identify best practice and conducting periodic review of existing internal processes ensuring inefficiencies are identified in line with business needs
Produce project plans, supplier analysis and process maps to support development strategy
Driving personal and team development to continuously improve, through effective relationship management of category supply teams, distribution & 3PL’s
Lead direct reports inclusive of workload management and performance reviews
Support the business with any changes to the network, to ensure minimum disruption to service
You may have the opportunity for planned travel to overseas locations on an ad-hoc basis

More about you:

Strong Numerate, analytical, accurate and logical with strong problem-solving skills
Strong team leadership skills within team and across a business, ability to manage up or down
Confident with MS Office packages including Excel, PowerPoint and Office
Experience working in Internal or external Supply Chain / Logistics/ Freight Management essential
Understanding of Trading, Global Sourcing and Supply Chain Operations gained in an FMCG environment would be advantageous
