The main purpose of this role is to produce high quality customer focused, creative photography for Sainsburys Argos, creating photography that showcases our products, brand and marketing stories. Photography will be used across multiple platforms (print, web and display) and will compliment other content e.g. video. Sainsburys Argos offers a broad range of products to our customer and the Photographer will be responsible for creating content for these products including homewares, jewellery, clothing, electrical and furniture. Shooting a range of photography styles and genres, product cut outs and model shots in the studio environment. Managing your time efficiently to ensure you are hitting daily, weekly and month targets. Ensuring that we are working to briefs and deadlines whilst remaining loyal to brand guidelines.

What you will do

Produce consistent cut out images for the Sainsburys Argos brand. Working closely with team members to produce aspirational digital content for multiple platforms including catalogue and web site.
Build and maintain honest, trusting and collaborative relationship both internally within the studio and with wider business stakeholders.
Ensure that all content created is of a quality that you, the photographer, studio and wider business would be proud of.
Be experienced in 35mm digital studio photography and associated programmes (Photoshop, Lightroom etc). Have knowledge and skill of studio flash and constant (tungsten/HMI) lighting equipment and techniques.
Drive personal & technical development within the role and actively find ways to improve photographic production and stakeholder management skills.
Work closely with the production team and wider content teams contributing to a positive and profession team ethos.

Skills & Experience

Essential

Photographer with the ability to shoot a wide range of products, from jewellery to large pieces of furniture
A professional photographer within a digital content studio
Advanced knowledge and technical background in digital photography and video
Expertise in working with Mac-based content editing software (Photoshop etc)
Keen eye for detail in both written (copy) and visual work
Passion for creative content and the desire to move an exciting and busy department forward
Can make informed, decisive decisions
Dedicated to delivering over and above expectations and willing to go the extra mile to make this happen
Ability to manage and prioritise your own time and deliver content to meet deadlines
Strong teamwork and communication skills to develop yourself and others within the team

Desirable

Experience shooting or assisting on location shoots
Ability to light studio sets with flash or tungsten lights, to a brief and timescale
Experience of kit repair and auditing
Experience of shooting and editing product related videos using high end cameras and edit software
Proven experience in studio production and/or taking a project from start to finish, be they small or large-scale productions
