This is an exciting opportunity to join the Digital Strategic Initiatives team. Today's consumers have higher than ever expectations for their digital shopping experiences. You'll get to work on initiatives which help us understand and meet today's and tomorrow's expectations, ensuring that Argos maintains its position as a digital retail leader.
This role offers broad visibility across the business and the opportunity to make significant impact across multiple areas. You will be leading high profile projects and challenging the business to make customer focused, data driven decisions. You should be comfortable applying strategic thinking but with a strong focus on delivery.
The key objectives of this role are:
To drive cross-functional digital initiatives that are part of the digital imperatives and roadmap.
To build strong stakeholder relationships across multi–facet teams and to bring people together from different teams to deliver key business projects and impact
To be delivery focused – ability to take the lead in driving initiatives towards both business and customer outcomes
To challenge business cases and initiatives to ensure projects put the customers and the business at the centre of decisions
To provide thought leadership to support the digital leadership team

Examples of previous or current projects for the team include:
Tu clothing range available through Argos digital channels. Oversight for the project and co-ordination of teams across Argos and Sainsbury’s. From building the initial business case and rationale for business sign-off, to working with the operational teams to shape the customer journey (proposition, fulfilment, digital experience) and launch plans, to managing the business case throughout the project. This project was the first commercial integration project between Sainsbury's and Argos.
Digital growth opportunities – investigating how to unlock opportunities from changes in future shopping behaviour through innovation, and translating actionable plans. Examples - The role digital will play in the catalogue; the role of emerging technology (AR, Voice, Visual search).
