· The Role

You will be a part of a newly created Data and Analytics Team, which will lead a transformation of how we report, interrogate, view and analyse data as a business. In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of new tools and capabilities for commercial and operational teams, which will help them to better understand business performance, improve forecasting accuracy and ultimately drive more profitable business decisions. You will have ownership of providing accurate data, reporting and dashboards to analytics and insight teams in order to drive high quality financial analysis across the business.

As Data Assistant Analyst, you will:

Have ownership of data and analytics processes including:

Monthly updates of reporting databases, ensuring inputs are accurate and outputs reconcile.
Regularly updating reporting dashboards in platforms such as Power BI and Excel.
Making improvements to database processes and coding developments within SQL server.
Working with analytics and insight teams to design, create and build developments to dashboards and reports.
Designing a process for servicing multiple data requests from across the business.
Querying in SQL to provide accurate data and information to business teams.

You will Support on development projects to build new tools which may include:

New forecasting tools for our commercial and operational teams.
Creating combined reporting databases for JS and Argos data.
Building Customer Profitability Analysis.

Your skills & experience will include:

Graduate calibre individual or have similar level of qualifications.
Knowledge of in Database creation and management including VBA and SQ Querying are essential.
Knowledge of SQL Development – inc SSIS / SSRS & Stored procedures would be desirable.
Experience of Access and Web Based Reporting & BI tolls would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have exposure of working within a similar Commercial / Retail business.
Possess a strong desire to develop yourself personally and technically.
Must be a self-starter with the initiative and drive to get results quickly.
Enthusiastic, positive and able to work well within a team.
Have strong communication skills both written & verbal.
