As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will support the Argos Financial Services store card business within the area of credit strategy. You will assist in the monitoring, evaluating, communicating, testing and reporting on all aspects of the credit strategies and scorecard/decision systems associated with this discipline. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to cover a maternity leave.

You will have a direct impact on our customers as you will develop, implement and monitor the Credit Risk Strategies as well as respond to customer queries via the operational departments. In this role, you’ll report into a Credit Risk Manager.

As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will:

Monitor the relevant strategies and scorecard/decision systems through appropriate reporting.
Ensure the accuracy of reports through appropriate checking and validation.
Assist the development and maintenance of reporting using appropriate tools.
Analyse and interpret reports in line with business requirements.
Identify areas for business improvement and assist with their implementation.
Assist with the implementation and testing of new strategies/scorecard/decision systems.
Assist in the upkeep of documentation of the relevant strategies and scorecard/decision systems.
Effectively communicate within and between your own team and other functions.

As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will have:

Proficiency in Excel.
Good communication skills.
The ability to work on your own initiative, in a fast-paced, changing environment.
An analytical thought process, with good problem solving skills and attention to detail.
The ability to access information from a variety of sources and accurately interpret results of reports produced.
