Argos has one of the largest eBay shops in the UK. It is an exciting online platform offering current Argos catalogue range, ex-catalogue range and refurbished items to customers through eBay.

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in the success of the fulfilment operation. The role is challenging and has plenty of variety. You will find yourself doing anything from deputising for the Site Manager, coaching and developing a team, reviewing & developing site activities and of course, as we are not customers facing it is even more important to make sure all our customers are given a first-class service.

Your focus in this role will be to ensure that our operation is run smoothly so that all our customers will have access to the products that they need. You and your team will manage stock in and out of the business whilst ensuring the customer is at the heart of everything you do, creating a world class on-line shopping experience every time. Leading and inspiring a large team will be instrumental to this success.

To be up for this challenge you'll.

Have recent retail management experience in a fast-paced environment
Have first class leadership skills
Be approachable and always ready to support and develop others
Have a good understanding of HR in the workplace
Have demonstrable experience of working towards performance targets & KPI's
Be highly organised, always planning for any eventuality
Have stock control experience – this would be beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided
Have experience working in fulfilment – this would be beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided
Be passionate about delivering a fantastic customer experience
Be keen to develop and make the most out of your career with Argos
