Job Description

TN Americas, a subsidiary of Orano USA is seeking a Buyer III for our office in Columbia, MD .

Under moderate supervision, this position will be responsible for reviewing purchasing options and negotiating with vendors and suppliers.

Additional responsibilities will include the following :
· Research, interview, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications for the following commodities: Heavy Haul/Lift and over-sized transportation, crane services, import/export regulations, air/ocean/intermodal transportation; Nuclear graded concrete and rebar, lifting embeds, engineering services and labor to support in house concrete precast facility; Aluminum Boron Carbide products; and Nuclear transport/hazardous material (U3O8, UF6, UO2, research reactor fuel, and other products).
· Ensure that materials are acquired in accordance with applicable nuclear transport/hazardous corporate and regulatory requirements.
· Ensure that purchase order values are meeting the required budget and actively participate to the cost savings objective of the company.
· Review purchasing decisions, orders, and vendor contracts.
· Provide assistance in overseeing materials orders and supplies from vendors.
· Create purchase orders for the acquisition of materials and perform related administrative tasks.
· Maintain accurate records in accordance with various corporate and regulatory requirements.
· Support the proposal and sales team for domestic and international projects.
· Maintain accurate records and may be required to participate in internal and external audits.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
· 
Master's degree in Business or related field; and 3 years of work experience in job offered or 3 years of work experience in a related occupation.

· 
Experience must include 2 years of experience with contract negotiations, domestic and international logistics, procurement, SAP and Microsoft Office.
