Job Description:

Orano Nuclear Materials is seeking a Public Affairs Intern for our office in Washington, DC .

This temporary position within Orano supports the public affairs team in the areas of corporate communications (internal, external and social) and research for government and corporate affairs.

Assists in the implementation of internal and external company communications under the guidance of senior communications team members.

Primary responsibilities and duties may include:
· Potential projects and support activities could include drafting:
· External media – Press releases, blog posts, tweet flights supporting conferences, articles
· Internal email newsletter – Writing, formatting, HTML editing
· Website development (internal, external) – Page structure, content writing, image editing, HTML editing
· Infographics – Concept, design, layout
· Metrics – Analyze data from campaigns (social media, Internet, intranet), create reports using graphical layout and design
· Conference Support – Develop calendar for remainder of year and capturing lessons learned
· Research - Assist in developing competitor database
· Works on additional special projects as directed.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
·  Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program resulting in a BS degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design or related discipline.
·  Completed a minimum of 4 semesters.
·  Grade point average equal to 3.0 or higher.
·  Adequate experience with Microsoft Office programs, and Adobe, etc..
·  Candidates must:
·  Have problem identification and resolution experience,
·  Have practiced organizational capability,
·  Be experienced with written and verbal communication,
·  Have the capacity to articulate and comprehend detailed technical data.
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
·  Strong excel and word skills.
·  Prior experience in marketing communications, publications.
·  Document control/review experience.
