COMPANY DESCRIPTION

CBI/AREVA MOX Services, LLC is a consortium of companies based in Aiken, SC and formed to advance the Department of Energy's mission to dispose of surplus weapon grade plutonium. The plutonium is disposed of by mixing it with uranium and forming a mixed oxide (MOX) fuel for use in existing nuclear reactors. After the MOX fuel is irradiated in the reactor, the plutonium can no longer be used for nuclear weapons. AREVA Federal Services provides resources to MOX Services for the design, construction, licensing and operations of the MOX Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF) to be built at the Savannah River Site. Resources provided are in the following disciplines: Licensing, ES&H, Integrated Safety Analysis, QA, Engineering Assurance, Process Engineering, Systems Engineering, Design and Engineering (Structural, Electrical, I &C, Seismic, Nuclear Criticality, Piping, Mechanical, HVAC), Project Safety, Procurement, Project Controls, Software Design, Training, Records Management, Operations, and Information Technology.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

AREVA Federal Services LLC, a subsidiary of AREVA, is seeking a Financial Analyst I-II.

Under broad supervision, supports financial analysis and review relating to MOX Services and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contracts. Supports company goals and objectives, including increasing revenue, cash flow and margin over the life of the project through researching customer inquiries regarding short-paid costs.

Additional responsibilities will include the following:
· Open and close project charge codes in the accounting system.
· Generate and submit weekly labor and labor correction reports.
· Generate and submit weekly labor and labor correction reports
· Generate and review accounting reports and identify charge code discrepancies
· Contact employees regarding labor questions and request time sheet corrections as appropriate
· Contact employees regarding non-labor questions and prepare corrections as appropriate
· Obtain, monitor, and archive overtime records
· Develop and maintain desk procedures
· Organize and maintain historical invoices and documentation
· Create and transmit quarterly travel file
· Prepare, enter, and archive Accounts Payable vouchers and associated documentation
· Prepare, enter, and archive correcting vouchers and associated documentation
· Prepare and submit required invoice reports and files within customer deadlines
· Prepare wire transfer supporting documentation
· Notify Affiliate companies of wire transfers and invoice payments
· Generate and submit monthly financial data and reports
· Monitor and report Accounts Receivable status
· Prepare and submit monthly accrual data
· Research invoice questions from the customer
· Assist with internal and external audit requests
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
·  Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or similar field, plus 1- 2 years of related accounting experience.
·  Experience with policies and procedures of compliance auditing.
·  Strong analytical skills and the ability to create and work in spreadsheets as required.
·  Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft excel.
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with all levels of staff & management.
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
·  Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).
·  Working knowledge of FAR 31 – Contract cost principles and procedures
·  Working knowledge of Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
·  5+ years of experience working on a Government cost reimbursement contract.
·  5+ years of experience with Deltek Costpoint accounting system
·  7 to 10 years of US Government contract accounting experience
