Systems Analyst / Assistant Manager - Data Matching Capabilities RIM

Job responsibilities: Matching various data sources accurately for both individuals and businesses are foundational capabilities that enable American Express to deliver on risk, commerce and servicing needs. These matching capabilities are core drivers of our data strategy, modeling techniques and targeting strategies and therefore serve as a strong competitive differentiator. The candidate for the role will be a part of matching capabilities team. Specific responsibilities will include – • Develop and enhance best-in-class proprietary matching algorithms by leveraging industry-best practices and by exploring new data sources to improve matching accuracy. • Effectively communicate with business partners in Risk, Marketing, Information Management, Fraud and Technologies to ensure transparency and to drive high adoption of these capabilities. • Ability to collaborate and drive business critical projects with technologies to flawlessly implement projects • Identify opportunities to improve matching logic by performing periodic case reviews. • Driving data quality, information integrity, and MIS initiatives that support the enhancement of Third Party data capabilities. • Work with leaders to develop the roadmap for leveraging Big Data ecosystem for Matching algorithms and processes. • Evaluating existing and new data sources to identify opportunities for customized and optimized data solutions that address business needs • Manage and Develop policies related to Credit Bureau reporting and Matching
This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.
Experienced professional in a team member role. Nature of work is similar to SE 1 but level of supervision is lower. Have the ability to think through and work on business solutions

Desired profile

Educational Background Required:
• An advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance or Economics. Post Graduate degree is Preferrable

Skills Required:
• Strong written and oral communication skill • Strong technical background with expertise in SAS/SQL on UNIX/PC. Knowledge of Informatica and Python is a plus
. • Ability to handle large datasets and proven ability to align data needs to business strategies.
• Strong understanding of the data design and their relations to enable reporting and analytics
• Ability to dissect complex problems and articulate solutions in an easy to understand manner.
• At least 1.5 - 2 years of experience in managing data, driving analytics and developing capabilities.
