Manager, Data Analysis

Job description

American Express Travel Related Services seeks a Manager, Data Analysis to analyze and create requirements for the structure of data, including addresses, email addresses, and mobile phone numbers. Perform data validation and data correction with database methods, dictionaries, and self-developed scripts. Run database queries to create lists for targeted communications, including legal notices and customer surveys. Perform database matching and extract customer information to conduct OFAC checks. Process data of returned mail and incorrect e-mail addresses. Consult with vendors on response data and metric improvements.

Desired profile

Position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or another STEM field, and 2 years of experience with data analysis, database management, and applying data analytics to direct marketing strategies. Must demonstrate experience converting PII data from and into different formats to drive customer segmentation. Experience with Oracle databases, as well as relational databases, including PL/SQL, is required. Experience analyzing and manipulating data, and investigating data problems, using SQL and Excel is required. Must demonstrate experience with Putty and Visual Basic. Experience must include Linux programming. Demonstrated ability to perform complex, ad hoc data analysis, interpret data findings, and present those findings to management is required.
