As Software Engineer the successful candidate will play a lead role in the understanding of product owner strategy and collaborate with his/her peers, technology partners, and product owners to translate complex user stories into successful product release.Responsibilities include:

• Review requirements/ user stories and corresponding designs

• Perform base technical aspects of software development for assigned applications including, developing prototypes and coding assignments

• Function as an active member of an agile team through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)

• Contribute to software builds from software source code management repository

• Participate in unit, assembly and integration tests as defined in the product team's test specifications

• Participate in code reviews and automated build script testing

• Debug basic software components and identify code defects for remediation

• Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies

• Provide support for ongoing production application availability

• Work on prioritized/assigned features for ongoing sprints

Desired profile

Qualifications:

Up to 2 years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience such as:

• Understanding or Agile or other rapid application development methods

• Exposure to design and coding across one or more platforms and languages (e.g. Java, HTML5, JavaScript, .NET, JCL, COBOL) as appropriate

• Exposure to methods relating to application design, software development and automated testing

• General knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases

• Understanding of object-oriented design and coding with variety of languages

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field required
