Job description

Global Certification Services (GCS) is part of the Service Experience Organization within the American Express Global Network Business. The GCS core focus is certification & deployment processes for all Network participants (merchants, banks, and processors) ensuring successful transactions within the American Express Network. GCS also supports internal initiatives including: customer readiness, vendor certification/management, performance metrics monitoring, financial reconciliation, POS certifications and various process improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining enterprise web based certification tools (Network Test Simulator and Amex Test Simulator) required for the successful certification of network participants. The successful candidate must act as the liaison between external Business Partners, American Express technology groups, software development vendors and certification delivery teams

Additional responsibilities will include:
·  Invoicing for the certification tools
·  Vendor and participant payment reconciliation
·  Maintaining vendor relationships
·  Certification tool development and support
·  Certification Test Case management
·  Driving multiple certification application development projects
·  Creating multiple strategies for the development and support the certification applications
·  Statement of Work and contract maintenance
·  Identify, analyze, troubleshoot and track defects then drive a resolution to these defects
·  Collaborate with developers, QA and stakeholders to improve the overall application or product
·  Be a strong product owner with an acute attention to detail and desire to continually improve the certification tools

Desired profile

Required Skills/Qualifications:
·  Extensive business analytical and project management experience
·  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Basic knowledge of information systems elements (hardware, software, network) and their application to business functions/processes
·  Collaborative skills and experience influencing without authority
·  Must be able to communicate effectively at varying levels of the organization
·  Ability to self-govern, to be flexible, to prioritize and manage their own time to meet tight program deadlines.
·  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with extensive knowledge in Visio, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint
·  Possess proficiency with Windows Operating Systems, MAC/IOS and internet browsers to include IE/Chrome/Firefox/others.
·  Documented ability to drive and support multiple high profile projects simultaneously in a fast paced global environment
·  Must have well-developed verbal & written communication skills, ability to understand and adapt technical concepts & verbiage to non-technical recipients
·  Collaborate with developers, QA and stakeholders to improve the overall application or product
·  Basic understanding of the key processes in the business and the business rules that impact the development and/or implementation of information systems
·  The ability to identify, analyze, troubleshoot and track defects then drive a resolution to these defects
·  Basic understanding of telecommunications and networking components including: TCP/IP, File Transfer Protocols, router capabilities, and VPN

Preferred Additional:
·  Knowledge of full software development life cycle (SDLC) is desired, together with an understanding of technical project planning, scope and risk analysis, and application implementation.
·  Experience with Arriba Expense Management
·  An understanding of authorization message and submission file formats
·  Understanding of .Net and Java applications
·  Preferred with working experience in any payment card industry system applications.
·  Understanding of Agile methodology
·  Spanish bilingual
