Job description

American Express Personal Savings is an online direct bank that offers FDIC-insured High-Yield Savings Accounts and Certificates of Deposit directly to consumers. The business, which was launched in mid-2009, has rapidly grown to over $30BN of direct deposits, and remains a critical component of American Express' strategy to develop stable, diversified sources of funding for the company's businesses. The Personal Savings Marketing team oversees all brand, acquisition, and loyalty marketing across multiple channels, including paid and organic search, display, paid social, affiliate, email, and the soon to be re-launched direct mail channel.

The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the re-launch of the direct mail channel for Personal Savings from the ground up, as the Project Manager to develop the detailed project plan and milestone schedule, lead cross-functional meetings and ensure deliverables meet deadlines. The Analyst will also support the direct mail channel with responsibilities including mail plan development, mail execution management, reporting and analytics, creative submission process management, and compliance approval management. This channel is a crucial component of Personal Savings' marketing program, driving a significant portion of new applications and greater brand awareness annually. The Analyst will support the strategy and execute the associated tactics to deliver Personal Savings' growth and retention targets. In this role, the Analyst will liaise with Information Management, Direct Marketing Excellence, and external agencies to execute direct mail campaigns and support other channel marketing as needed.

This is a dynamic role that will enable the Analyst to advance her/his professional development across a broad set of knowledge areas including but not limited to: new channel development, cross-channel marketing and quantitative and qualitative decision making.

Job Responsibilities:
·  Project manage the execution of the direct mail channel launch plan including project plan development, meeting leadership and documentation, cross-functional collaboration to ensure milestones are met, issue resolution.
·  Direct Mail campaign management including mail plan development, creative submission management, printing and production oversight, reporting and analytics.
·  Identify opportunities to improve ongoing efficiency of the direct mail and other channels.
·  Execute test plans to refine creative and targeting strategies.
·  Engage with agencies and key external partners for creative development and campaign delivery.
·  Partner with key internal teams, including Customer Experience, Information Management, Global Servicing Network, Legal, Compliance, and Privacy, to ensure strategic alignment and deliver a seamless customer & prospect experience while meeting all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
·  Prior direct marketing experience a plus.
·  Proven quantitative and analytic skills and Excel expertise required.
·  A self-starter who is able to concurrently work on several complex projects and prioritize work; excellent project management and communication skills required.
·  Detail-oriented and intellectually curious.
·  Fast learner with a passion for direct marketing.
·  Strong desire to drive results.
·  Bachelor's degree required.
