Position Title:

Analyst, Retail and Online Custom Consulting

Job Responsibilities:

Our analysts partner directly with the consultants to understand specific merchant objectives as well as general industry trends, and build appropriate strategies for both that leverage AXP marketing and analytics assets, including our data, marketing capabilities, and Amex relationships. Successful candidates will be naturally curious, analytical and strategic thinkers who are highly collaborative and effective at communicating and influencing internal and external customers.

Another key asset will be a successful track record in driving multiple projects to conclusion as the strategic marketing and insights engagements move into execution. This focus on flawless execution will require strong communication and relationship skills for both internal and external stakeholders.

The primary customer segments will be retail and online, but over time can expect to have the opportunity to work with clients from a wide range of industries depending upon business needs.

Key areas of focus:

· Managing the day-to-day aspect of campaign management and execution
· Securing access to marketing channels (i.e. email, direct mail, digital offers, amex.com, Membership Rewards, etc.) for marketing programs and implementing through those channels
· Assisting team in targeting criteria across marketing programs and setting those up across channels
· Providing support for creative development and creative approvals for select programs
· Tracking and managing results across programs
· Manage and oversee projects that involve a third party marketing support vendor
· Supporting analytics requests for insights projects and merchant proposals

·  Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities/projects
·  Strong verbal and written communication skills
·  Ability to build and manage effective relationships with internal and external partners
·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·  Proficiency in Excel
·  Strong track record of driving results
·  A strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast, high-energy environment
·  BA/BS or equivalent professional experience
·  Experience with digital/social media marketing is a plus
