Overview of the Department : This position sits within the Merchant Marketing Operations team in the Global Marketing Operations organization, and is responsible for ensuring we are delivering on our promise to Card Members and Merchants through excellence in end-to-end execution of our products and services globally, with particular focus on the US. The overall scope of the Global Merchant Communication Solutions team is to provide consultation on all Amex-to-merchant marketing and servicing communication targeting and segmentation, translate requirements into CRM audiences, and ensure flawless execution to support business objectives.

Job Description : The Global Merchant Communication Solutions (GMCS) analyst will be responsible for partnering with a variety of constituents across several Merchant Marketing teams, to consult on segmentation strategies for Amex-to-merchant communications and ensure those strategies are translated into effective CRM audiences, with flawless delivery to market.

Other Responsibilitie s:
· Developing expertise in merchant data and merchant segmentation
· Providing consultation to Merchant Marketing partners on merchant data and the end-to-end marketing process
· Effectively collaborating with team members in the U.S. and India to ensure timely support and a positive partner experience
· Provide support packaging documentation for training initiatives, knowledge transfers, and best practices
· Identifying opportunities to improve overall process, quality, and speed to market

Desired profile

·  Proven ability to build and leverage relationships in order to provide consultation to key business partners and influence communication strategies
·  Ability to effectively translate marketing requirements into segmentation plans and execute flawlessly
·  Previous experience executing list pulls, SQL, data modeling, or analytics preferred
·  Ability to work independently, as well as, collaborate and interact professionally with various marketing and capabilities teams across multiple workstreams
·  Process-oriented, with an analytical mindset and focus on attention to detail
·  Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities
·  Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
·  Experience with merchant data and/or CRM a plus
·  Proficient with MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint
·  Bachelor's degree required
