Job Description Alexa is one of Amazon's most innovative services to date, and has changed the way customers use their voice to interact with technology and the world around them. Building on this momentum, Amazon Digital Products is looking for an interdisciplinary UX designer to focus on the needs of the customer and validate our product solutions as we expand Alexa into many devices and locations. The right UX Designer is focused on the intersection of human behavior and technology. You have the precision of a researcher, the logic of an engineer, and can capably generate many solutions to a problem and design approaches to test them. You rigorously generate data to build a deep understanding of products in order to make informed design decisions. This role is based in Seattle, WA.

What we're looking for
The UX designer has a deep understanding of HCI practices, UX concept validation and research techniques, with an appreciation and foundation in visual design practices. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within a small and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
● Create interaction flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and test them with customers.
● Work collaboratively within a team comprised of other designers, product managers and engineers to develop world class results.
● Validate and test design solutions by building and leading research programs.
● Generate insights and develop experiences that can be mapped directly to Amazon's business and customer needs.
● Present concepts, help facilitate ideation sessions, and workshops with internal teams.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

● Bachelor's degree in a design related field.
● Min 2+ years of experience as an UX designer, UI designer, production artist or similar role.
● Experience designing on multiple platforms, including web and mobile.
● Experience with Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Keynote.
