DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services, Inc., Security Assurance is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) to work on the AWS Security and Compliance team. We are looking for an experienced TPM who can prioritize well, can communicate clearly and compellingly, work across distributed teams with a strong customer obsession and a high bar on quality and execution.

In this position, you will work on a TPM role by working across teams to gain alignment, develop requirements, and execute a common plan across multiple stakeholders and working closely with the Legal Department, and in particular with the Law Enforcement Information Program team, in connection with responding to law enforcement requests received from government agencies located in the U.S. and elsewhere.

You will also be responsible for developing documentation involving a wide range of cloud-computing technologies and web services as they apply to the Law Enforcement Information Program by adhering to designs and standards for AWS documentation. You will be entrusted with the ownership of materials related to security and compliance templates, policies, standards, guidelines, wiki pages, training, and processes.

The successful candidate will have strong people and project management skills and must have the ability to gather business requirements and partner with various stakeholders to plan, deliver, test, deploy, and improve solutions. You will need to roll up your sleeves and have a high level of ownership and accountability.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Drive program objectives – provide program management and define project plans, manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support.
· Work with stakeholders to understand the business requirements and translate these requirements into technical/functional specifications. Discover the true requirements underlying feature requests; recommend alternative technical approaches; lead development and engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines. Balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
· Work with AWS Compliance SA's and engineers to coordinate the technical development effort, track/drive the project, and manage the operational implementation process. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management and make tradeoffs; encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit; identify inter-dependencies between concurrent projects.
· Communicate new/updated program, policies, and processes to leaders, stakeholders, and cross functional organizations.
· Manage, prioritize and deliver multiple initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams.
· Manage day-to-day work plans and resources.
· Create processes that enhance operational workflow and provide positive customer impact.
· Drive the development of content and act as a key documentation stakeholder for the team.
· Researching, writing, and editing content by gathering data from various stakeholders.
· Coordinating across teams to become point of contact for primary source documentation.
· Quality assurance and regular update cadence for team document repository.
· Independently educate yourself on AWS technologies.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
· A minimum of three years in a Program Management role with a demonstrated degree of technical acumen or comparable work experience
· A minimum of three years working directly with engineers and other technical subject matter experts or comparable work experience
