Position Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day coordination of speech and language data collection efforts, including planning, scheduling, and reporting. Measure and analyze the accuracy and throughput of annotated data. Contribute to the design of new Alexa Shopping NLU features by extending existing annotation schemas to cover new areas. Write grammars and build finite-state transducers (FSTs). Use modeling tools to bootstrap new functionalities. Handle competing requests from a range of data customers. Collaborate with Language Engineers in data collection and feature design efforts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computational Linguistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): language annotation and other forms of data markup; working with speech and text language data; using database queries and data analysis processes including Unix and either SQL, R, or Matlab; and programming in Perl, Python, or an equivalent scripting language.
