DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for a Talent Management professional to join the Worldwide Operations Talent Management team to develop insights that inform our global talent strategy and innovate new mechanisms to meet the highest strategic areas of need within the global Operations organization. This position will partner with senior business leaders and HR directors around the globe to understand business and talent priorities, dive deep into organizational data to uncover macro talent trends, and partner with the team’s talent process owners to test hypotheses using data, develop and present new initiatives via written documents, and innovate new and implement existing talent processes such as talent reviews, succession planning, and organization design to enable the talent needed to drive our business strategy. Given the size and span of the organization, effective change management methodologies will be critical in rolling out new or updated processes and programs.

In this high visibility role, we are looking for a professional who has the ability and initiative to diagnose issues and influence solutions/outcomes. You must be self-driven and have the capability and confidence to interface effectively with senior executive leaders and HR partners of the organization. You will need strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, influence skills, strategic thinking and planning/project management skills, as well as the ability to dive deep, get in the details and thrive in a fast paced, rigorous environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master’s degree in related discipline, HR, OD, IO or MBA
· Able to manage workflow, with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced, frugal environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities
· Able to work both on a team (as member and leader) and independently to deliver results
· Familiarity with business, financial and process improvement tools, concepts and methodologies
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, ideally as an author or content creator

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years showing progressive work experience leading strategic talent initiatives, coaching and influencing senior leaders, designing mechanisms and inspecting performance at scale
· Excellent project management and planning skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and projects
· Strong business acumen, including strong problem solving and analytical skills and self-initiative, Ability to diagnose problems, and identify and drive appropriate solutions
· Proven capability manipulating and analyzing data sets to identify trends and root causes
· Up to 25% travel required
· Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
